Veil Dance I - Virtual Class Series 2021


Dance in the new year and celebrate the new you! Join me for classes to an exciting new series of virtual classes on Egyptian movement and discover your inner beauty and joy!

This Thursday session will focus on veil technique as well as basic hip technique and movement combinations and runs from Thursday, March 4 - Thursday, March 25, 2021 (5 classes).

In each class, students will experience warm ups, movement, and movement combinations and receive individual attention in class. A brief introduction into my background as well as that of the cultural context of the dances and their origins/costuming and so on, will also be addressed. y, . Please let me know of any serious injury or illness I need to be aware of prior to class

Wear loose non-binding clothes, such as yoga pants or leggings and a close fitting top. Dancing is traditionally performed barefoot. Please refrain from eating a heavy meal at least 90 minutes prior to class. Light snacks are fine. Bring a long scarf or dance shawl or belt with you for class.

Tuition: 5 classes/ $85 for a 60 minute class. Tuition billed through Square. Email me for registration information. Scholarships and work study opportunities available (especially with social media!!!).

*Zoom instructions: No purchase necessary. Students can download Zoom and create an account free of charge at zoom.us. Please make sure you have a working video camera and microphone prior to class. For security reasons, students without a working camera, will not be permitted to attend.
