Join me for a fascinating, lively class on Banat Maazin style (Egyptian Romangi) dance! Performed with sagat or finger cymbals, this improvisational style focuses on unique hipwork and shimmies with lively rhythmic patterns to accent movements. Often performed in a community of sisters, this dance is known for its fun, loose style. . For cultural reasons, only women will be permitted to attend.

Movements, combinations, and mini - to full choreography- will be taught alongside cultural background, costuming, and, of course, extensive finger cymbal work.

Tuition includes access to video recordings, music, costuming, and more. Purchase of sagat recommended- please visit www.bellydance.com or Arabesque or Turquoise cymbals to order directly. A shawl or triangular scarf is also required to accent hipwork
