Cultures from around the world celebrate Ramadan’s end at Asia Society

 

Kristina Koutsoudas teaches young children the Qashqai, a folk wedding dance from southern Persia during the Asia Society's inaugural Family Day Celebrating Eid on Sunday, June 9, 2019, in Houston. Attendees were able to learn about Eid al-Fitr, the celebration the end of the holy month of Ramadan, and how it is celebrated in the United States, by exploring a showcase of Islamic traditions, arts and crafts, food and music.
