Ever wonder what vintage Egyptian classical dance is ( i.e.Raqs Sharqi/dance of the East)? In this series, students will learn a beautiful vintage Egyptian classical dance by the legendary diva of dance, Nadia Gamal. Classes include movement combinations, choreography, plus warm ups and cool downs to develop and strengthen the body in preparation for class. Students also receive much individual attention in class. Cultural context of the dances, their origins and costuming are illuminated with discussion and links to film footage and/or photos..
