Moroccan Chaabi Scarf Dance Online Zoom Class

Join me for this exciting series of Moroccan classes combining street dance and scarf dances Ancestors of ancient fertility dances, these high energy dances combine powerful, subtle hip technique with scarf embellishments, high speed turns, gestures and expressions to create a unique, beautiful form unlike any other. . This class will include a bit of history, culture, and costuming as well movement and will continue as series of classes into April and May with lively hip work, shimmies, and gestures to extraordinary, fun and upbeat music!

Classes include movement combinations and choreography plus warm ups and cool downs to develop and strengthen the body in preparation for class. Students also receive much individual attention in class. Cultural context of the dances, their origins and costuming are illuminated with discussion and links to film footage and/or photos. Students of all ages and levels of ability are encouraged to take class. Regular class series to follow!

Tuition: $210(+ 2.50 processing fee)
