Egyptian Dance 2021


Dance in the new year and celebrate the new you! Join me for classes to an exciting new series of virtual classes on Egyptian movement and discover your inner beauty and joy!

The next Thursday session (6 classes) runs from January 21 - February 25, 2021. Explore Egyptian dance (both folkloric and classical) on Thursday nights 530-630pm cst via Zoom.*

Students will experience warm ups, movement, and movement combinations. A brief introduction into my background as well as that of the cultural context of the dances and their origins/costuming and so on, will also be addressed. Students receive technique, combinations and/or choreography, and individual attention in this unique class. Please let me know of any serious injury or illness I need to be aware of prior to class

Wear loose non-binding clothes, such as yoga pants or leggings and a close fitting top. Dancing is traditionally performed barefoot. Please refrain from eating a heavy meal at least 90 minutes prior to class. Light snacks are fine. Bring a long scarf or dance shawl or belt with you for class.

Tuition: 6 classes/ $105 for a 60 minute class. Email me for regisstration information. Scholarships and work study opportunities available (especially with social media!!!).

*Zoom instructions: No purchase necessary. Students can download Zoom and create an account free of charge at zoom.us. Please make sure you have a working video camera and microphone prior to class. For security reasons, students without a working camera, will not be permitted to attend.
